Friday, May 18th...pack, pack, pack, Shelley and Jake's rehearsal dinner
Saturday, May 19th...wedding all day. It was a beautiful day and an amazing wedding. Shelley looked gorgeous and it was a super fun wedding. Aubrey and Owen rocked on rehearsal night as the flower girl and ring bearer, but got a little scared for the big show and kinda walked down the aisle. They more like took their time and looked around. After the ceremony Aiden wanted to be part of the wedding, so he actually took my bouquet and walked down the aisle too. Hilarious.
Sunday, May 20th...pack, pack, Sesame Street Live. Aunt Darci got the kids tickets for their birthday and they loved the show. Aiden was busy telling all the characters hi the entire time and they all have talked about it non stop since we went.
Monday, May 21st...kids off to daycare. Start moving, take a break to close and sign papers, continue moving all day. Ugh, it sucked...majorly. Thank God for my Dad and Brendan who helped all day and Matt Hackfort who helped that night. We seriously wouldn't have been able to do it without them. Steph came over that night and helped me organize the kitchen, which was awesome. We're so blessed to have great family and friends!
Tuesday, May 22nd...clean old house and continue to set up new house. My mom and grandma came over to help set up the kids' rooms. They were great and helped a ton. Mom painted Aubrey's room for me Monday night, so we could put up wall decals on Tuesday. Will take and post pics soon. We picked the kids up from daycare and they were so excited to see their rooms.
Skip to Friday, May 25th...Aiden had 2 year appointment. Everything went well. He is 50% on height and 40% weight. He is ahead on all developement areas. It's probably since he's the baby and picks up on things quicker, but he is really smart. He talks better than all the kids in his daycare class. We transitioned him to a big boy bed when we moved, so that's been an adjustment, but we're getting there. I hear a lot, "Daddy, lay down with me." Aubrey had a surgeon appointment in Iowa City with the pediatric urologist. She is scheduled for surgery on Sept. 6th. I'm crazy nervous for it, but know it needs to be done. It will require a two night hospital stay and large incision, but hopefully this will be a permanent fix to her kidney problems.
Monday, May 28th...After a busy weekend, we celebrated me turning 30 on Monday...boo. I was back to work on Tuesday and we're now starting to feel a little sense of normalcy. The kids actually took naps three days in a row and it's considered a win if we can get them to bed before 9 p.m. Last night they actually all slept through the night :) Can I get an Amen!

Let's see, the kids also celebrated their birthdays. Mom did a pony party for them and it was a hit. Ernie the pony was well loved and the kids now ask Mimi where Ernie is every time they see her.

Owen is fully potty trained now...AMAZING! Only having one in diapers is a huge relief (on the budget and my patience). I will get Aiden here soon...I think I can, I think I can. Owen is my emotional firecracker. His sweet is sweet and his mad is mad. I often say he is bipolar (obviously joking). He has a loud personality, that's for sure. A friend of ours pointed out how he envies how social our kids are, so I need to remember how great it is that the kids are talkative little creatures that explode with personality :)
My little Spanky has hit the terrible two's and has been a little stinker lately. He has started biting and hitting me if he is mad (lovely red-headed temper) and melts so quickly. He also has picked up on every bad habit of Aubrey and Owen's. When he is by himself, he is the sweetest toddler and super loving, but he is a little copycat so he loved to mimic the twins' when they're acting up. I tell people my trio has a gang mentality and can easily kick my butt when they want to.
Aubrey has been pretty good lately. She is such a good helper at school and often gets stickers for good behavior. She loves music, especially songs on the radio and has taken a liking to Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber and LMFAO. It's pretty hilarious. Her favorite phrase, "cool."
Ok, exhausted and off to bed. I will get better about keeping my blog up...I think I can, I think I can.
